A Farewell party

On our last night our wonderful agency - Family Outreach International - but on a wonderful and touching evening which featured a magic show and a surprise presentation of gift. It was a bitter sweet night. We were all excited to get home to Canada for our families to meet our new little ones, but we were sad to be leaving our Gotcha families... These wonderful families we had just shared some of the most endearing moments with, were going away. We miss you all.

Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square

Our last visit on our trip was to Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. It was so nice to visit but the temperatures were so high... I think it was something like 33 plus humidity. It almost unbearable. But the sites were great and the girls had fun putting on a show with their new Chinese parasol.

Nyah's trip to the Summer Palace with her Daddy and a new dear friend Kayla

With just a few more days left in China, Marc took Nyah and her dear friend Kayla to the Summer Palace while YaQi and I stayed behind for a quiet quality time.

Everyone had a great time and lots of fun enjoying the sites.

Here are some pictures that Marc took on his outing with Nyah:

Here are the pictures that Nyah took with her camera on the trip to the Summer Palace. She did such a great job and I am so proud to see everything from her vantage point. Wonderful work Nyah:

Sites of Beijing China

During our last week in China, we did lots of traveling in the tour bus from going to doctor appointments, an acrobat show and shopping, but we also got to see many wonderful historic sites...

These next three pictures are marvelous locations that were seen by the world during the 2008 Summer Olympics hosted by China:

This "Google bus" was passing by the Olympic "Birds Nest" as we were making our way through and it just seemed really cool to see such a simple advertising campaign for such a huge company.

Here are many more wonderful architectural building and site with so much history:

I love this picture... It is so neat to see what can be done on a bike. It was also great to see some many different vendors offering up so many local treats... Mind you I am too fearful to try these local treats... Maybe next time :-)

Our Journey to the Great Wall

Thanks to everyone for checking out our blog during our trip. I apologize for not having any updates to blog in the last month and not giving you more details on our last week in China.

Our next stop in our journey is to the Great Wall and Jade factory.

These are the sites we saw on our much awaited trip to the Great Wall. On our first trip to China, we did not take Nyah to the wall with us and I have regretted that decision ever since. So finally here we are on the Wall with Nyah and our new little gal - YaQi.
